Grab a coffee (or a cup of Kenyan chai!), and take a walk with me as I show you around the grounds of Christ Care Children’s Home and Academy…
My name is Belinder. I was born in 2000 or 2001. Unfortunately, no one knows the exact year... No longer do I have to live on the streets and eat from the garbage. I am fed, cared for, and loved by Pastor Wicklife, his wife, and the staff and teachers of CCMI...
For the first time ever, we were able to get a $500 loan from a small microfinance organization. We applied for this loan because we needed to take my wife to the Kisii hospital for the back problem; we also needed to get some little food for the orphans and at least three bags of fertilizers for our current crops.
Bwana Asifiwe! (Praise the Lord!)
We have been able to successfully build two new classrooms for Christ Care Academy. After purchasing supplies on August 4th, 2014, we are finally finished with construction. The classrooms are usable now!
Check out the gallery to see some of the pictures of the construction process.
